In the summer of 2014, a domestic dispute in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 43-year-old Thomas Lee Everett Paris of New Castle. The incident, which also left two others wounded, unfolded on a Sunday night at the Walnut Ridge Apartments.
The violent encounter stemmed from a domestic issue involving Rashund Smith, a 34-year-old man from New Castle, and a woman who was not publicly named.
