On August 1, 2014, three-year-old Tynirah Borum, a young girl from Philadelphia, PA, tragically lost her life due to a stray bullet while sitting on a front porch in the Grays Ferry section of the city. Tynirah was at her friend's house getting her hair braided when the incident occurred. The bullet struck her in the chest, and despite being rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after 10 p.m.
