NaGus Lamar Griggs, an 18-year-old male from York, PA, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2014. Griggs, a talented basketball player who had helped his school, New Hope Academy, win its only District 3-A Championship, was found shot in a vehicle near Princess and Charles Streets. He was taken to York Hospital but succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
The investigation into Griggs' death led to the arrest of Niam Shabazz Jamison, who turned himself in after a criminal homicide
