Brienne Nicole Francisco, a 36-year-old woman of mixed ethnicity, tragically lost her life on April 30, 2015, in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania. She was a registered nurse at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and had a BS in biology from St. Joseph's University and a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University. The
incident occurred at her residence on Karen's Court, where she was found at the entrance of her home suffering from a gunshot wound. She was quickly transported by medical helicopter to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Upon entering the home, police discovered 58-year-old Leroy Wilson dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. A revolver was found next to his body.
An autopsy performed at the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that Brienne Francisco died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide. Leroy Wilson's autopsy, conducted at the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, revealed that he died from an intraoral gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a suicide. Authorities determined that Wilson shot Francisco before turning the gun on himself.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide. No other suspects were identified, and no further arrests or litigations were pursued in connection with Brienne Francisco's death.
