Kareem Lee Brandon, a 21-year-old Black/African American male from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, was shot on the night of February 1, 2017, in the city's Moxham neighborhood. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 400 block of Grove Avenue, a street that became the center of Johnstown's first homicide investigation of that year. Brandon was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at 10:16 p.m.
