On the evening of October 4, 2024, a shooting in the 3600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike in Henrico County, Virginia, resulted in the death of 44-year-old Darnell Lee Porter. Porter, a male resident of Henrico, was one of two men found with life-threatening gunshot wounds at the scene. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Porter later succumbed to his injuries. The second victim was reported to be in critical condition.
