Winnie Harris, a 65-year-old African American woman, was a beloved community organizer and the Executive Director of UC Green, a program dedicated to maintaining trees and public spaces in Philadelphia. On February 3, 2017, Harris was tragically found shot to death inside her home on the 300 block of N. Holly Street in West Philadelphia.
