Anthony Hoots, a 19-year-old male from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, tragically died on February 6, 2017, in Swissvale, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The cause of his death was a gunshot wound sustained during a robbery attempt at an apartment on Smokey Wood Drive. According to police reports, Hoots and Robert DeTorre, 18, exchanged gunfire when Hoots tried to rob DeTorre. Both Hoots and DeTorre were killed in the exchange, and two other individuals in the apartment were wounded.
