Paul Henry Armstrong, a 27-year-old tow truck driver, was last seen on December 17, 1993, in Merced, California. Armstrong's girlfriend saw him at home before she left for work at 7:45 a.m., and about an hour later, his brother stopped by but found the house empty. Armstrong had left behind his wallet and was scheduled to meet his girlfriend for lunch that day, but he never showed up. He was never heard from again.
At the time of his disappearance, Armstrong was on crutches due to a broken leg and was wearing a leg brace. He was dressed in gray sweatpants, a light blue UCLA sweatshirt, a white "Raiders" jacket with Kool-Aid stains on the sleeves, and blue sneakers. Armstrong's case took a more puzzling turn when his co-worker, Steven Lombard, also disappeared the same day under suspicious circumstances. Although both men worked for the same towing company, their families believe the disappearances were unrelated.
Armstrong’s case remains unsolved, and authorities consider it a suspicious disappearance. Despite numerous efforts, neither Armstrong nor Lombard has been located.
