In the early morning hours of April 12, 2026, the life of Tyriek Assante Patterson, a 36-year-old Black or African American man, was tragically cut short in a Puyallup, Washington townhome. A father of two young sons, Patterson was known by loved ones as a dedicated and hardworking single parent who was the sole provider for his children. Shortly after 4 a.m., Patterson and his best friend arrived at the residence of his girlfriend, intending to surprise her for her birthday.
