During the robbery, Tate was fatally shot, and Jones was shot six times but survived. The suspects involved in the shooting were Jalen Reynolds, Taisha Santiago, David Dalton, and Lashonta Dade. Reynolds and Santiago were convicted of second-degree murder and received life sentences without parole. Dalton pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and aggravated assault and received a sentence of 30-60 years in prison. Dade testified against Reynolds and Santiago at their trial and has not faced any charges.
