Shaquan Cruz-Chappell, a 28-year-old Hispanic/Latino male from Chester, Pennsylvania, was killed on July 21, 2017, during a burst of gunfire in Chester. Police said the shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. near 7th Street and Highland Avenue, where officers found Cruz-Chappell struck several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene, his death becoming another homicide in a city that was already deep in a violent year.
