In the summer of 2013, the life of a young Chester man was abruptly cut short, leaving a family in mourning and a community searching for answers. Karone York, a 20-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on June 11, 2013. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Madison Street in what became the city's seventh homicide of the year.
