In the early morning hours of April 7, 2018, the quiet community of McVeytown, Pennsylvania, was disturbed by a tragedy that would leave a lasting impact. Kord L. Aurand, a 23-year-old male, was found deceased at his residence on Old State Route 22 in Wayne Township. His life had been cut short by a gunshot wound, a violent end that prompted an immediate and intensive investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, who classified his death as a homicide.
