Daevion Raines, a 15-year-old African American male from Duquesne, Pennsylvania, was tragically killed on June 16, 2018. He was riding in a car with several other people when at least 15 shots were fired into the vehicle as it passed through Newford Alley. The car crashed into a telephone pole, and Daevion was found dead in the backseat with multiple gunshot wounds. A 17-year-old who was driving the car at the time was also shot but survived and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
