Dan Gregory Hayes Jr., a 24-year-old Black/African American male, was killed in Chester, Pennsylvania, just two days after his birthday, on June 4, 2019. He was known by several names depending on who was speaking of him: Dan to classmates, Greg to family, Tank to friends, and Mooters to his mother. He had grown up in the Chester-Upland community, graduated with the Chester High School class of 2013, and was remembered as someone with deep ties to sports, music, family, and the city around him.
