Summary based on 3 sources
On a cold November evening in 2019, the life of 22-year-old Jerrell Martine Jeffries Johnson was tragically cut short in a violent encounter on the streets of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. On the night of November 24th, Johnson and 18-year-old Elarrah Findley were seated in the front of a vehicle when a passenger in the backseat opened fire, killing them both. The initial shot is believed to have been aimed at Johnson.

Following the sound of gunfire, Findley attempted to flee for her life, exiting the car and running down Midland Street. However, the assailant pursued her on foot, firing multiple shots and leaving her fatally wounded in the street. When authorities arrived at the scene around 9 p.m., they discovered Findley lying in the road and Johnson inside the car, both having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators with the Allegheny County Police Department have indicated that the motive for the double homicide may have been a robbery connected to a drug transaction. This theory is supported by the discovery of stamp bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl inside the vehicle. Despite the evidence found at the scene and appeals to the public for information, no suspects have been publicly identified in the murders of Jerrell Johnson and Elarrah Findley.

The case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of the two young individuals. The families have been left to grieve and await answers, with friends of Elarrah Findley expressing their hope that the person responsible will be brought to justice. Authorities have asked that anyone with information regarding the shooting contact the Allegheny County Police tip line.
