In the early morning hours of August 12, 2018, the quiet of the Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood in Pittsburgh was shattered by the discovery of a beloved community member's death. Elaine Pearson, a 63-year-old woman, was found deceased inside her silver SUV on Lincoln Avenue. The cause of her death was a gunshot wound, and authorities immediately began investigating it as a homicide. Police believe she may have been in her car for several hours before her body was discovered around 5:30 a.m.
