Brian J. Schill, a 45-year-old man from Tionesta, PA, was fatally shot on May 22, 2020, in Marienville, PA. Schill, who was known as a well-liked self-employed carpenter and an outdoor enthusiast, was found dead at the Kelly Hotel parking lot after a physical altercation with Richard Gardner Jr., a 36-year-old man from Greensburg, PA. According to the Forest County Coroner, Schill died from gunshot wounds to his head and chest, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
