On May 2, 2022, 9-year-old Nelson Nelly Belly Tini, a young boy from Newtown, PA, tragically lost his life. Nelson, along with his older brother Jeffrey Tini, aged 13, were shot and killed by their mother, Trinh Nguyen, inside their home in Upper Makefield Township. Trinh Nguyen, 40, also attempted to shoot a neighbor but the gun malfunctioned. Following the murders, Nguyen fled to New Jersey to obtain narcotics and attempted to take her own life.
