Another juvenile was also wounded in the shooting and was transported to a local hospital
in stable condition. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office later officially identified Green as the deceased victim. Known affectionately as 'Louie Var,' Green was a rising star in the Pittsburgh music scene and a talented athlete who had played football and basketball for Northgate Jr-Sr High School. His family and friends remember him as a bright and fun-loving individual with a strong work ethic.
The investigation into LeVar Green's homicide is ongoing. To date, no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
