In a tragic turn of events on a Friday evening in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, a young man's life was cut short. Jacob Thomas Fisher, a 21-year-old male, died on April 30, 2021, from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The incident, which occurred around 6 p.m. on Fairlane Road, was the result of a domestic dispute that escalated to violence.
Responding to reports of shots fired, law enforcement officials arrived at the residence to find Fisher unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was a close-range gunshot wound, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide. In connection with the death of his grandson, authorities took 67-year-old John T. Oblinsky into custody.
