Donald Abbott, a 48-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically lost his life on March 16, 1985, in South Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Abbott was one of four foremen killed at the Anchor Glass Container Corp. plant by Mansel "Sonny" Hammett, a 40-year-old factory worker who had been suspended earlier that day. Hammett, armed with a .38-caliber revolver, entered the plant and shot Abbott, along with three other foremen, before taking his own life.
