She was employed at Lincoln University as a contracted housekeeper through Aramark and was well-loved by her family and friends. Kimberly was born on December 17, 1967, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, and graduated from Oxford Area High School in 1985.
She later attended Harcum College and completed paralegal courses at Widener College.
The circumstances surrounding Kimberly's death were particularly harrowing. On November 3, 2021, Pennsylvania State Police were called to a residence on Ashum Avenue in Lincoln University for a report of two people in cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, they discovered Kimberly and her 22-year-old son, Jordan Foster, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed that Timothy Harris, Kimberly's boyfriend of 15 years, was responsible for the killings. Timothy, aged 41, had engaged in a physical altercation with Kimberly and Jordan on the night of November 2, before fleeing the scene and causing two car accidents. He ultimately took his own life in front of eyewitnesses.
The Chester County District Attorney's Office, along with the Pennsylvania State Police, conducted a thorough investigation into the double homicide. Timothy Harris was identified as the shooter, and a .380 semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the scene.
