On April 27, 2025, the body of 39-year-old white female Jessica Ann Lockwood was discovered burning along Club 40 Road in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Initially mistaken for a mannequin, firefighters extinguished the blaze to reveal the remains of the volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician. An autopsy determined that Jessica Ann Lockwood died from blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound to the chest, and her death was ruled a homicide.
