Christopher M. Havir, a 44-year-old man from Scranton, PA, tragically died on April 15, 2022. The incident occurred at his home on Ash Street, where a fire broke out early in the morning. Firefighters responding to the scene discovered Havir's body on the second floor of the house. The fire was later ruled as arson by the Scranton Fire Department.
The Lackawanna County Coroner, Tim Rowland, determined that Havir's death was a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ruling it a suicide.
