Kyline Christina "Chrisy" Avey, age 41, of Newburg, Pennsylvania, was found dead on June 1, 2022, from multiple gunshot wounds in a wooded area behind her home. She was a corrections lieutenant at Franklin County Prison and a mother of three. Her death was ruled a homicide, and the investigation revealed that her husband, Derrick Avey, was identified as the primary suspect. Derrick Avey, age 42, died in an officer-involved shooting in Virginia on the same day Kyline was found dead.
