On a summer evening in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the life of 15-year-old Demarao Alexander Gumby Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. On June 18, 2022, Gumby was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting on North 16th Street. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Authorities investigating the shooting have stated they do not believe Gumby was the intended target of the attack.
