In the evening of Wednesday, September 21, 2022, a burst of gunfire on the 5800 block of Rising Sun Avenue in Philadelphia left two people wounded and one man dead. The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Myles Fischer-Handy. The male victim resided on Hasbrook Avenue in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police responded to the scene at 9:32 p.m. and discovered Myles Fischer-Handy suffering from three gunshot wounds.
Officers swiftly transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. A second victim, a 28-year-old Black male, was also shot once in the hip during the incident. He was taken to the same hospital in a private vehicle and was listed in stable condition.
