In the early morning hours of a Sunday in November, the life of Milton D. Washington Jr., a 29-year-old man from Harrisburg, was tragically cut short. On November 6, 2022, in the town of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, an argument escalated into a physical altercation and ultimately ended in gunfire. The fatal encounter occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of North Queen Street and Coover Avenue.
Washington was shot and died as a result of his injuries.
Following the shooting, the individual who fired the weapon remained at the scene and waited for law enforcement to arrive. The Pennsylvania State Police were called to the scene and have since been conducting an investigation into the circumstances that led to Washington's death.
