Police Officer Richard Fickeisen, aged 57, tragically died on July 11, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a dedicated officer with the Columbus Division of Police, having served for 19 years. Officer Fickeisen succumbed to gunshot wounds he received 13 years earlier while serving a warrant at 413 N. Virginia Lee Road in Columbus.
