David S. Ruppert, an 11-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on March 30, 1975, in Hamilton, Ohio. His death was part of a horrific event known as the Easter Sunday Massacre. On that day, James Urban Ruppert, David's uncle, fatally shot eleven members of his own family in his mother's house at 635 Minor Avenue in Hamilton. The victims included David's parents, his grandmother, and seven of his siblings.
