Charity H. Skinner Ruppert, a 65-year-old woman of English descent, was tragically murdered on March 30, 1975, in Hamilton, Ohio. She was the mother of James Urban Ruppert, who carried out the horrific act known as the Easter Sunday Massacre. On the day after Easter, March 31, 1975, James Ruppert fatally shot 11 members of his family, including his mother, Charity; his brother, Leonard Jr.; his sister-in-law, Alma; and their eight children.
