Alcee Samuel McCray, a 58-year-old African American male, was a dedicated officer with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department in Cleveland, Ohio. On October 14, 1989, Officer McCray was tragically shot and killed while on duty. He was confronted by an armed man in the Riverview Towers housing complex.
