On May 11, 1995, Anthony Hughes, a 39-year-old Black male from Akron, OH, was found lying at the bottom of the basement steps with several gunshot wounds. The Akron Police Department was immediately notified, and an investigation was launched to determine the circumstances surrounding his death. Despite extensive efforts, the case remained unsolved for many years, and it was classified as an unsolved homicide.
