Timothy DeWayne Thomas Jr., a 19-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot by Cincinnati Police Officer Stephen Roach on April 7, 2001. Thomas was wanted for fourteen non-violent misdemeanor charges at the time of his death. The incident occurred in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, where Thomas was spotted by police and subsequently fled.
