James Anthony "Tony" Gordon, a 27-year-old man from Dayton, Ohio, tragically died on August 6, 2003, after being shot in the chest during an attempted carjacking. Tony was driving his car, with his 13-year-old nephew as a passenger, when an armed criminal approached his vehicle and demanded that he get out. Instead of complying, Tony attempted to drive away, but the attacker fired at him, striking him in the chest.
