Danielle LiKole Parker, a 22-year-old woman from Youngstown, OH, tragically lost her life on January 29, 2007. She was found shot to death inside a vacant home on West Evergreen Avenue along with three other victims: Anthony M. Crockett , Christopher D. Howard , and Marvin E. Boone . The incident was part of a larger chain of violence stemming from a previous murder in the area.
The killings were believed to be a retaliation for the death of Martwain Dill, who was ambushed and killed the
previous year. Dill had agreed to be a witness in a drug case, which led to ill feelings and ultimately his murder. Police suspected that Anthony Crockett was the primary target in the January 29, 2007, shooting, and the other victims were with him at the time.
Despite extensive investigations, the case remains unsolved. Former Detective Sgt. Darryl Martin, who led the investigation, expressed frustration over the lack of physical evidence and witnesses. He believed that the "snitches get stitches" mentality in the community hindered the investigation. Martin retired but continued to hope for a breakthrough in the case.
