Ahlycia Brown, 22, a Black woman, was shot inside her apartment on the 2600 block of Tyrell Avenue on Youngstown’s West Side in the early morning hours of September 6, 2025. Officers were dispatched around 1:35 a.m. and found her inside the residence; lifesaving efforts were attempted but she was pronounced dead. Days later, the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office publicly identified her, noting an autopsy was conducted as the investigation continued.
