James Anthony Kerstetter, a 43-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a dedicated police officer with the Elyria Police Department in Ohio. On March 15, 2010, Officer Kerstetter responded to a call at a residence on 18th Street in Elyria. A mother had reported that a neighbor had exposed himself to her child and kicked in a window.
