Roderick Davis, a 26-year-old African American male from Columbus, OH, tragically died on May 5, 2014. Davis was shot in the backyard of a house on Pannell Avenue, where he had gone to confront someone about drug activity that his children were being exposed to. During the confrontation, a fight broke out between Davis and Anthony K. Gore Jr., which led to Gore shooting Davis twice. The first shot struck Davis in the leg, and the second shot hit him in the head, resulting in his death.
