Daegio D. Heron, a 29-year-old male, tragically lost his life on October 4, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio. The circumstances surrounding his death were part of a violent altercation that took place on October 2, 2016. Heron was lured into an alley under the pretense of a marijuana purchase by a woman who was part of a group that included Tyrik M. McDonald-Glasco, Dajuan A. Crowley, Tivon D. Green, and Anferny Slaughter.
Upon entering the alley, Heron was ambushed by the group, and Tivon D.
Green shot him from behind at close range. The group then fled the scene, with Green and Crowley tucking their guns into their waistbands as they ran. The incident was captured on surveillance footage, which played a crucial role in the subsequent investigation and trial.
Following the shooting, Tyrik M. McDonald-Glasco was charged with murder and intimidation of a witness. He was found guilty on both counts and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 18 years. Dajuan A. Crowley and Tivon D.
