On August 14, 2014, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Columbus police officers responded to a reported shooting at 2160 Riverdale Square East. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Jeremiah Franklin, a Black male, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
