Miyazhane Vance, a 19-year-old African American woman from Cleveland, OH, tragically lost her life on April 14, 2015. She was fatally shot while sleeping in a bed with her 1-year-old child in a crib beside her. The incident occurred in Vance's home, and her brother, Brandon Fisher, who was 17 years old at the time, was also shot but survived.
