James B. Mundy, a 24-year-old male from Springfield, Ohio, tragically died on June 15, 2015. He was shot at the corner of Rice and Josephine Streets just before 10:30 p.m. Mundy was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. He had gunshot wounds in his right thigh and left bicep.
Despite extensive investigations, no arrests have been made in connection with his death.
The Springfield Police Division has been following up on evidence and testimony collected at the scene, but the case remains unsolved. The community has been asked for help in providing any information that might lead to the identification of the shooter.
Mundy's family and friends have been vocal about seeking justice for him. His mother, Prudence Mundy, has been actively involved in the search for answers, walking the area where her son was killed and posting flyers in hopes of finding leads. The family continues to hope for closure and justice for James B. Mundy.
