Barry Washington, a 56-year-old Black man from Cincinnati, OH, tragically died on August 21, 2015. Barry was a bystander caught in the middle of a gun battle at the Elks Lodge in Madisonville when he was killed. He had stopped at the lodge to use the restroom on his way to buy a pack of cigarettes. The incident resulted in the deaths of Barry and another man, Timothy Murphy, with five others injured.
