On January 12, 2016, 14-year-old Georta Mack, a young African American boy from Cincinnati, OH, tragically died after being shot by his father. Georta, who was affectionately known as "Day-Day" by his neighbors, had decided to skip school that morning and returned home, hiding in the basement.
