She was found shot to death inside a vehicle along with another woman, Laquita Robinson, 26, in the 500 Block of East 101st Street. The incident was reported to the police, who launched an investigation to find the perpetrator responsible for the double homicide.
The investigation revealed that Tyisha Austin was a mother to five children and worked both in a factory and
as a bartender. Her son, Christian Pitts, expressed disbelief and grief over his mother's sudden death, urging anyone with information to come forward. The police continued their search for the suspect, but as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the murders.
