Tyreshia Cody, a 25-year-old African American woman from Columbus, OH, tragically lost her life on August 12, 2016. She was shot along with her boyfriend, Tre Malik Russell, 21, in a South Linden neighborhood. Russell was pronounced dead at the scene, while Cody succumbed to her injuries the following day at Grant Medical Center. The couple was in a vehicle when the shooting occurred, and the gunman was reportedly in the car with them.
