In the cold of a Detroit winter, just a day before New Year's Eve in 2011, the life of 37-year-old Derrick Wallace was tragically cut short. On the evening of December 30th, in the area of 12021 Heyden Street, Wallace became another victim of the city's unrelenting violence.
